Your URL is validated — only http and https addresses are accepted — and then rendered as a QR code on the server at high error correction, which is what lets a code still scan when part of it is scratched or dirty. The code is generated at print resolution and composed into the artwork that goes to production, so what you preview is what gets made.

In your Google Business Profile, open the "Ask for reviews" or "Get more reviews" option and copy the short link it gives you. That link opens the review dialogue directly rather than dropping someone on your listing, which roughly halves the number of people who give up. Paste that link, not your website.

A QR code needs physical size to scan reliably. As a rule of thumb the code should be at least 25 mm across for a phone held at arm’s length, and larger if it will be scanned from further away — a code on a vehicle needs to be considerably bigger than one on a cupboard door. If your code shares a 100 mm sticker with a logo and three lines of text, it will be too small. Give it room, or order a dedicated code sticker.

Not on a printed code — the URL is encoded in the print. If you expect the destination to change, point the code at a short link you control and redirect that link instead. This is worth doing before you order 500 of them.
The scan works offline; opening the link does not. That is fine for a review or booking link and is worth remembering for anything you expect to be scanned in a basement or a lift well.
