Adelaide: extreme heat days, not sustained heat
Adelaide summers deliver runs of genuinely extreme days, and a dark vehicle panel in that sun gets far hotter than the air temperature. Two consequences. First, do not apply vinyl to a hot panel — the adhesive grabs instantly and you cannot reposition, so you get bubbles you cannot work out. Apply in shade, early. Second, heat accelerates any existing edge lift, so a decal that survives its first summer usually survives several.
